Fun wasn't it?<br />You should have rotated the mold and tapped on it a lot to get the air bubbles from collecting in the bent fingertips.<br />Also, we've found that Vaseline isn't a great idea when working with alginate (oil and water, etc.). In order to eliminate most of the air bubbles, its best to plunge the hands in- then immediately remove them. Rub the alginate into all the "trouble areas" like the fingernail areas, between the fingers and into the lines of the palm. For guys with lots of hair, rub the areas where there is hair and that will remove the small bubbles that get stuck at the base of the hairs.<br />Don't worry about alginate sticking to the hair- it won't.
